– Write too many words if your English is average (aim for 250-265)
– Use contractions such as “don’t”, “shouldn’t”, etc
– Overuse connecting words (assessors expect that!)

Hi Dominic,
Just need a expert wording from you. I recently took IELTS GT test and overall score is . However in Writing I got , where I completed both tasks, was above least wording count limit and with only 1 or 2 spelling mistakes as I knew what I wrote but I made 2 silly mistakes, on which I need your point of view.
Task 2 was about adv/Disadv of Bicycle and in that essay :
1) I put headings for essay, adv/Disadv part and conclusion
2) secondly I put bullets for both adv/disadv points, didn’t wrote them in paragraph
